Description
- Title:
- Report regarding the November Pogrom and its aftermath in the Rhineland
- Summary:
- Detailed report regarding destruction of Jewish property and arrests in Duisburg during the November Pogrom. Apparently the perpetrators (mostly young men in their twenties) were 'exchanged' between neighbouring towns to avoid any sympathy for personal acquaintances. The situation left the Jewish women desperate and many suffered mental breakdowns. It is further reported that Torah rolls and religious art works were looted from the synagogues and appropriated by the Gestapo in Cologne.
