Otto Sussman of Hamburg died of pneumonia in Sachsenhausen in December 1938 at the age of 43. So as not to stand out he had gone to work despite a high fever and returned half dead to the barracks in the evening. He left a wife and two children. His profession was bank official.
A Herr Kallmann from Hamburg returned from Sachsenhausen with severe pneumonia and died two days afterwards. He had married very recently and had made preparation for his emigration before his arrest.
