Ref. Floss, Upper Palatinate
14th November 1938
Herewith I request most respectfully to make it possible for my little niece, 13 years old, to come here as soon as possible. Since her mother was divorced without blame, the child has been living with her grandparents in a small village in the Upper Palatinate. Until May 1938 she was in W. at the Lyceum, however was not allowed to remain there any longer. She then went to the Jewish school in F. and lived in the Israelitisches Mädchenstift in N. On 10th November the Mädchenstift was utterly destroyed and the children driven away. Today I have finally learned that the child is with her grandparents once again. But the child cannot remain in this small village either, in which only three Jewish families live, and probably has to suffer poverty like her grandparents and her mother...
