In Frankfurt am Main Dr. Bernhard Rosenthal, head of the Gynaecology Department of the Jewish Hospital in Gagernstraße, was taken away during the night of 9th to 10th November. He refused to abandon his patients who would be without any medical care. However, he had to go despite this. Under the pretence of having to get changed he poisoned himself in the neighbouring room.
According to rumours, which however have not been confirmed, his wife is also said to have taken her own life.
