Report by a lady from Breslau [now Pol. Wrocław], whom I had questioned, who was not arrested (from the leaders of the community).

Synagogues all burned down. Where surrounding houses in danger of catching fire, completely destroyed.

All shops without exception completely vandalised and looted. Up to the third floor, even wholesalers. Homes and villas in Breslau here and there.

Upper Silesia many homes [destroyed]. Women also arrested one day there. Liegnitz [now Pol. Legnica] area treated more reasonably. However shops and synagogues likewise systematically destoyed.

All the men gone, in Breslau c. 90%, in the region 100%. War disabled and over 65s released. There is Less, Halpert, Markowitz, Spitz, Friedländer and otherwise only ladies. Myself unfortunately also endangered. Was in Militsch [now Pol. Milicz] on 10th November and made my getaway. Work senseless in the long term.

People: Better people are ashamed, little people indifferent, nobody’s blood boils.

According to what I have heard, office manager Glaser was not arrested either.
