A lady from Düren in the Rhineland who has just come from there reported that during the night of Wednesday to Thursday all the Jewish businesses were destroyed in her home town. The synagogue was set on fire during the night. The fire spread so quickly that the Küster and his family, who live right next to the synagogue, barely managed to escape with their lives.
Herr B. reports that the home of his mother, a lady of almost 70 years of age, in Glogau [now Pol. Głogów], was forcibly entered and all the furniture there was smashed too.
In Brunswick the former Handelsgerichtsrat Gustav Forstenzer, who until recently was the senior partner in the Frank department store, was arrested. In addition his two sons who are only 17 were also arrested.
