Synagogues fires
In Cologne the synagogues on Roonstrasse and Glockengasse burned out, also the synagogue in Deutz.
Furthermore the synagogue in Halberstadt was burned.
In Berlin these synagogues were burned:
- Fasanenstraße,
- Prinz Regentenstraße,
- Franzensbaderstraße in Grunewald,
- Lützowstraße,
- Passauerstraße,
- Kleine Auguststraße,
- Lessingstraße.
The synagogue on Levetzowstraße has been damaged but apparently not burned.
A small fire occurred at the Reform Synagogue in Johannisstraße.
These synagogues were spared:
- Oranienburgerstraße,
- Artilleriestraße, as well as
- Rosenstraße (Heidereuthergasse), in addition
- the small synagogue in Sigmundshof.
The synagogues on Artilleriestraße and Heidereuthergasse are also thought to have been set on fire but because of the energetic intervention by the guard from the Wach- und Schließgesellschaft [security company] the arson attack could not be carried out because the intruders were fended off.
The fate of the synagogues in Lindenstraße and Rykestraße is not yet officially known.
